HISTORY
The Baisley Church of Christ possesses a rich history spanning several decades. The current congregation recommenced services in April 2022, following the operational challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing congregants from diverse Church of Christ backgrounds within New York City, Baisley has established itself as a central location for worship and spiritual development. The present Church at Baisley maintains a steadfast commitment to the Holy Scriptures, relying upon divine providence to facilitate the growth of all its undertakings.

The core, singular goal of this expansive ministry is to deeply impact human lives, focusing on the spiritual journey of "one soul at a time." OUTREACH MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT
II Corinthians 5:20 "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God."
The core mission of the outreach ministry is fundamentally rooted in the biblical mandate to fulfill Christ's ministry of reconciliation, actively working to restore people to a harmonious and saving relationship with God. This divine imperative is the driving force behind all its activities.
This vital ministry bears a specific responsibility for internal care, extending a compassionate and non-judgmental hand to members of the faith community who have experienced spiritual setbacks. This includes reaching out to the "saints who have fallen" from grace, those who have "gone astray" from the accepted path, individuals who are "weak in the faith" and need strengthening, and even those who, through doubt or circumstance, "have departed from the faith" entirely. The goal in these efforts is always restoration, spiritual healing, and reintegration into the fellowship, reaffirming the community's commitment to unconditional love and persistent discipleship.
Moreover, the ministry of reconciliation extends far beyond the established church walls. It is a universal calling directed toward all those in the world who currently exist without a saving knowledge of God. This outward-facing mission targets those "who have not yet obeyed the Gospel" of Jesus Christ and consequently "don't have a relationship with God." This expansive outreach seeks to introduce the message of salvation, leading people to accept the Gospel, and thereby establish the life-altering, personal communion with the Creator that is the ultimate aim of the reconciliation ministry.

The Benevolence Ministry stands as a vital expression of the Church's commitment to embodying and demonstrating the unconditional love of Christ to the world. Its core mission is to actively translate the theological truth of God's love into tangible acts of kindness, compassion, and practical assistance. This ministry is dedicated to ensuring that the love and grace we have received are visibly extended to every individual, both within the immediate fellowship of believers and to those in the wider community.
The primary responsibilities of the Benevolence Ministry encompass a broad spectrum of charitable and compassionate deeds. This includes, but is not limited to:

Internal Support: Providing discreet and compassionate assistance to members of the body of Christ who are facing financial hardship, sudden emergencies, illness, grief, or other personal crises. This may involve assistance with essential needs such as food, shelter, utilities, medical expenses, or other practical forms of relief.

External Outreach: Extending acts of kindness and compassion to the broader community, particularly to the marginalized, vulnerable, and underserved populations. This may manifest through community service projects, partnerships with local charities, organized disaster relief efforts, or simple, unsolicited acts of goodwill designed to demonstrate God's love without expectation of return.
