HISTORY
The Baisley Church of Christ possesses a rich history spanning several decades. The current congregation recommenced services in April 2022, following the operational challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing congregants from diverse Church of Christ backgrounds within New York City, Baisley has established itself as a central location for worship and spiritual development. The present Church at Baisley maintains a steadfast commitment to the Holy Scriptures, relying upon divine providence to facilitate the growth of all its undertakings.

The Baisley Church of Christ is dedicated to embodying biblical principles and serving as a beacon of Christ's transformative love. Our mission extends far beyond our local community to share the Gospel and offer hope to a world in need. By focusing on the spiritual journey of "one soul at a time," we ensure every personal interaction is meaningful—aiming to deepen relationships with God and foster a strong community of faith, service, and discipleship.

OUTREACH MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT
II Corinthians 5:20 "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God."
The outreach ministry is rooted in the biblical mandate of reconciliation: restoring people to a saving relationship with God. Internally, we provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to struggling believers—whether their faith has weakened or they have strayed entirely—focusing on spiritual healing and reintegration into our fellowship. Externally, our mission extends beyond the church walls to share the Gospel with those who do not yet know God, guiding them toward salvation and a life-altering, personal relationship with the Creator.
Our driving purpose is to fulfill Christ’s mandate to restore people to a harmonious relationship with God. We achieve this through a twofold approach:

Internal Care & Restoration: We extend a compassionate, non-judgmental hand to members of our faith community who are struggling, weak in their faith, or have gone astray. Our goal is always spiritual healing, restoration, and reintegration.

External Outreach: We look beyond our church walls to share the message of salvation with those who do not yet have a relationship with God, leading them to accept the Gospel and find communion with the Creator.
The Ministry of Benevolence: Extending the Love of Christ
GALATIANS 6:10 "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."
The Benevolence Ministry exists to put the unconditional love of Christ into action. Our mission is to translate God’s love into tangible acts of compassion and practical assistance, serving both our congregation and the wider community.
Guided by Agape (selfless, divine love), our primary responsibilities include:

Internal Support: Providing discreet, practical help—such as food, shelter, and medical relief—to church members facing financial hardship, illness, grief, or unexpected crises.

External Outreach: Serving the broader community, especially the marginalized and vulnerable, through local service projects, charity partnerships, and unsolicited acts of goodwill.

Cultivating a Culture of Care: Encouraging every member of our congregation to be a proactive conduit of God's love and charity.
By proactively seeking opportunities to meet genuine needs with dignity and integrity, the Benevolence Ministry not only addresses material hardship but serves as a living testament to the selfless, transformative nature of the Gospel.
